The Nürburgring is Germany’s most famous circuit for professional race drivers. It’s also extremely popular among racing fans. However, even people who don’t have much time for car racing can enjoy a trip to the Nürburgring. SHARE NOW takes you there and shows you what there is to experience at the Nürburgring.
What awaits you at Nürburgring
At the Nürburgring, races like the Grand Prix are not the only races to take place. Here, you yourself can also zoom around the Grand Prix Track and Nordschleife. Opening hours and ticket prices vary depending on the day of the week and the track. The Grand Prix circuit costs 29 € for a 15-minute stint; the Nordschleife costs 25 € on weekdays and 30 € on weekends. Both routes are open almost daily, with occasional changes depending on current events. You can check the exact availability online on the Nürburgring’s website. Those who find tourist drives on the race track too nerve-racking can take it easier on the go-karting track. Co-pilot drives and special driving training sessions are also available. If you are interested in the Nürburgring’s history, the 1.5-hour backstage tour is the ideal way to get an insight behind the scenes. Sporting and musical events also take place at the Nürburgring. For example, the music festival ‘Rock am Ring’ is named after the track. The EDM festival ‘New Horizons’ and the Schlager music event ‘Nürburgring Olé’ have taken place here yearly since 2017. On the other hand, Nürburgring hosts sportier events such as the 24 kilometre ‘Fisherman’s Friend StrongmanRun’ and the 24-hour cycling race ‘Rad am Ring’.
Not in the mood for action? Then just simply sit back in the Ring° cinema and enjoy 3D blockbusters or take a seat in the RaceRoom-Cafe and drive in a simulator race. Of course, Nürburgring also takes care of your physical well-being, for example at the hearty Bitburger Guesthouse or the traditional American Devil’s Diner. Cigar lovers, on the other hand, get their money’s worth in the Davidoff Lounge, while the Lobby Bar serves delicious drinks until 2AM.
