Charging made easy with SHARE NOW

Charging with SHARE NOW is safe and simple – and when you get the hang of it, it only takes seconds. Charge at any Clever, Spirii, E.ON, or IONITY charging station throughout the country and use our electric cars for weekend trips and vacations. Each time you charge a car that’s running low on juice, you can earn driving credit, which is used to pay for your upcoming trips.

The market for EVs and EV charging is under intense development these days. This means that charging points are being set up throughout Copenhagen, Frederiksberg and the rest of the country. In the SHARE NOW app, you can get the overview of charging points within the Home Area. If you need to charge outside the Home Area, please see the website or app of each individual operator.

Plug-in guide

How to charge an electric car

Charging an electric car is both safe and simple – you'll master it in no time! We don't expect you to charge our electric cars after every trip. Charging is free at any of our charging partners all over the country.

Activate the view of charging stations in the app (Map ▶ Menu in right hand corner ▶ Filter map). You can charge at E.ON, Clever, Spirii, and IONITY stations across Denmark.

The cable looks slightly different from car to car. You can't miss it.

Open the cap to the plug with a gentle push and connect the cable. The plug is located at the car's rear side.

There is a chip in the plug of the charging cable. Scan the plug on the top or side of the charging station to activate charging, then plug in the cable.

The car is charging when the light near the charging socket changes to blue (BMW i3), yellow (MINI Electric), or green (Fiat 500e and Peugeot e-208). Easy as that!

To earn credit, please make sure to end your trip after the car has started charging.

You can charge our cars at any partner station outside the Home Area, but to end your trip you must be within the Home Area. Important: You cannot charge our cars at Powered by e.on Drive & Clever joint fast chargers.

UNPLUG GUIDE

How to unplug an electric car

One of the perks of free-floating car-sharing is that you can locate electric cars anywhere throughout the Home Area. If you are looking for maximum range, though, we recommend starting your trip in a car that is waiting at a charging station, full and ready to hit the road. Use the app to see charging stations and to filter for cars with a battery level that matches your need.

If you want to rent a car waiting at a charging station, please start the rental before ending the charging session and unplugging the car. If the rental is ongoing, simply end the charging.

Terminate the charging session from the app and confirm you want to stop the process. Only at this stage, you'll be able to unplug the car from the charging port.

Put the cable back in the trunk. In case you are using a fast charging station, just attach the cable to the charging pole. Push the button on the charging station or inside the car to release the cable.

Once the app confirms that the process is complete, you can drive off and either end your trip inside the Home Area or continue your journey.
